Abstract
In the present scenario, higher education is one of the most important requirements. To facilitate the higher education, E-Learning systems are best substitute of tradition education system. It outstrips the distance and time constraints. E-Learning can be used not only for collaborative learning, but also for autonomous, individual learning. E-Learning can also provide another concept that is called learning by teaching. In this paper, we have proposed a Web-based tool named as Adaptive Java Tutorials that has used Hidden Markov Model to make E-Learning more adaptive. The development of such system is a challenging task that could support both learning by teaching and learning environment. Adaptive Java Tutorials are an attempt to develop a Web tool that could quench the intentions of both learning and learning by teaching systems. The teacher can learn from the reviews provided by learner. The learner’s experience is used to train the Adaptive Java Tutorials. Hidden Markov Model is used to make the system adaptive. When a concept is browsed by the learner, it will train the system based on the reviews provided by the learner. It will prioritize concepts that are best reviewed or most visited.
