Evolution and Development of Business Models in New Media Environment

Abstract

During the transition period in China, the new media, especially the Internet, has energized the Chinese economy. By combining with the typical cases in China closely, this paper selected four mainstream business model based on the Internet, including the Chinese portals, Chinese search engine, e-commerce and the Internet financial, to present the basic features and evolution path of the business models in the era of new media. Furthermore, this paper reviewed and discussed the development of the profit pattern, the operation mode, etc., of the Internet products and services mentioned above.
