Abstract
The chapters presented so far in this book have offered many examples of the different ways in which women leaders in universities and schools have sought to influence the situations in which they practise. Later chapters take up and explore the specific issues that engage them as they do their leadership work. This chapter takes a particular example of influential behaviour that is implicit in several striking descriptions these women provided of how they go about their leadership work.
