Abstract
The object of the ‘logic of assertion’ is to systematize the theory of the logical relationship between assertors and the propositions they assert. An ‘assertor’ need not in this context be a person, but may be a group of persons that issue assertions collectively, or a document, or an abstract system of propositions — such as an axiomatic theory of some subject-matter.
