Abstract
At the end of the last chapter we saw that the creation of similarity points to a more fundamental cognitive phenomenon, namely that of the creation of attributes of an object, event or situation. This phenomenon has sprouted a certain view of cognition that is becoming increasingly prominent. I refer to it as the interaction view of cognition. According to this view, our concepts do not reflect some pre-existing structure in the environment, they create the structure. Yet, this conceptual organization cannot be arbitrary, and is somehow constrained by reality.
