Abstract
It is indeed an honour for me to be included in this very important publication on the Boreal Forest and Global Change. I welcome this opportunity not only because of my aboriginal responsibility as keeper of this sacred land, but also to acknowledge the numerous scientists and researchers, who authored and co-authored the many fine papers in this book.
