Abstract

The diseases that I have included as auto-immune comprise a large and important section of the patients seen in any hospital physician’s wards. Methods of preventing and curing such conditions would obviously be of the greatest practical importance. Unfortunately the prospect of success seems at the present to be very limited indeed.
