Abstract
The primary jobs of the engineer are the design, construction, and maintenance of structures, machinery, etc. In his function as a designer, he makes use of the principles of thermodynamics, electricity, and the statics and dynamics of solids and fluids, but he is always limited finally by the materials at his disposal.
