  • Chapter
Polysaccharide Shapes

Part of the book series: Outline Studies in Biology ((OSB))

Abstract

We now move on to consider carbohydrate sequences with more than one type of sugar unit and/or more than one type of linkage. Their properties can be correlated with whether the particular sequence is of the periodic, interrupted, or aperiodic type, as defined in Section 3.1 and illustrated in Chart 2 (pp. 32–33).
