Abstract
Dunnocks, Prunella modularis, ait small brown passerines that exhibit an extremely variable mating system. The mating system of a population of 90 breeders, studied by Nicolas Davies and collaborators in the Cambridge University Botanic Garden, consists of several mating combinations (Davies, 1983, 1985; Davies and Lund-berg, 1984, 1985).
