Abstract
Before the few years around 1970 empirical research on probability as a psychological concept mainly fell under the headings of probability learning and the estimation of relative frequencies (Estes, 1972), probability revision and information purchasing (Manz, 1970), and the descriptive work of Cohen in Britain (Cohen, 1972). The references given contain statements of the problem and reviews of empirical research.
