Abstract
A relationship light peak (P) - dark trough (T) is established, \(\frac{{P - T}}{T}\), and by means of it we observe how the performance from one eye is influenced by the other, being in the same state of adaptation or in darkness.
The illumination of the influencing eye decreases the \(\frac{{P - T}}{T}\) ratio of the influenced one with respect to the value it would have in the condition of monocular illumination. This decrease is greater when the influencing eye has been illuminated in advance.
