Abstract
Identifying and characterising droughts is of major interest for assessing their impacts and for defining appropriate mitigation measures able to reduce their worst effects. Among the several methodologies proposed for analysing droughts, the run method is one of the most suitable, especially when a regional droughts have to be studied. In the present paper, the software package REDIM for at-site and regional drought analysis is presented. The package is a component of a more general Decision Support System to aid decision makers in the water resources management under drought conditions.
