Abstract
New accounts of gravity are usually inspired by some theoretical consideration which is taken as a basis for the further development of the theory. The degree to which that development is carried out varies greatly, and it is often the case that a new gravitational theory is worked out in considerable detail in some areas and in minimal detail in others. This concerns especially observational consequences, which are well investigated in some theories and poorly investigated in others.
