Abstract
Ethics is the branch of philosophy that deals with values relating to human conduct. Ethics is concerned with concepts such as good or bad. These concepts are ubiquitous elements of human life, and are therefore also present in the pursuit of knowledge through science. Medical ethics is the application of philosophical knowledge to the doctor — patient relationship in order to promote the patients health and subsequent autonomy.
