Samenvatting
Herkennen en diagnosticeren van de aard van mobiliteitsstoornissen bij ouderen zijn van belang om het valrisico te verlagen en dus vallen en eventuele nadelige gevolgen daarvan te voorkomen. Voor een goede mobiliteit moeten het evenwicht en de locomotore functies intact zijn. De diagnostiek van mobiliteitsstoornissen bestaat uit een speciële anamnese voor het opsporen van val- en fractuurrisicofactoren, en onderzoek van de mobiliteit. De behandeling bestaat meestal uit een multifactoriële aanpak door een multidisciplinair team. Nadat je dit hoofdstuk hebt bestudeerd, weet je wat nodig is om mobiel te zijn, welke indelingen je kunt gebruiken om de loopstoornissen te beoordelen, hoe je de mobiliteit onderzoekt, wat de belangrijkste val- en fractuurrisicofactoren zijn en waaruit het behandel- en preventieplan kan bestaan.
