Samenvatting

Mensen met chronische pijn hebben een verminderde arbeidsparticipatie. Revalidatie kan een positieve invloed hebben op het arbeidsvermogen en -participatie. In dit hoofdstuk wordt op hoofdlijnen ingegaan op de gevolgen van chronische pijn voor arbeidsparticipatie, de evidentie voor revalidatiebehandelingen die zijn gericht op het verbeteren van arbeidsparticipatie, wetenschappelijk uitdagingen en uitgangspunten voor een effectieve behandeling. Specifieke arbeidsgerelateerde onderdelen van de sociale context worden besproken. Relevante wetgeving wordt kort behandeld, waarbij er wordt voornamelijk verwezen naar actuele websites. Het hoofdstuk wordt afgesloten met een beschrijving van ketenpartners.
