Riassunto
L’ultrasonografia rappresenta l’esame di I e di II istanza nella valutazione delle patologie fetali, attestandosi sia come esame di screening della popolazione sia come metodica di II livello qualora venga riscontrata un’anomalia: in tale evenienza è possibile approfondire le indagini ricorrendo a un imaging più sofisticato, come il 3D e il 4D, a programmi di elaborazione delle immagini con possibilità di ricostruzioni multiplanari (TUI) o all’approccio con sonda endovaginale, quando fattibile, per lo studio delle strutture cerebrali.
