L’elevata incidenza e mortalità del cancro colorettale (CCR), associate all’efficacia della polipectomia endoscopica nel ridurre del 70-90% l’incidenza del CCR e ad una maggiore sopravvivenza a 5 anni per una diagnosi precoce di CCR, costituiscono il razionale per una strategia di screening nella popolazione generale [1, 2].
