Zusammenfassung
Die Preispolitik gehört zu den schwierigsten und risikoreichsten Marketinginstrumenten, die einem Unternehmen zur Verfügung stehen. Zudem wird der Preis als zentraler Erfolgsfaktor in Industrien mit Netzwerkeffekten – wie z.B. in werbefinanzierte Märkten – gesehen. Das Risiko der Preisentscheidung liegt darin begründet, dass solche Entscheidungen i.d.R. nur schwer reversibel sind, und darin, dass Unsicherheit über mögliche Kunden- und Wettbewerbsreaktionen vorherrscht.
