Zusammenfassung
In den letzten Jahren suchten Unternehmen neue Wege, um die Aufmerksamkeit der Konsumenten zu gewinnen. Above-the-line-Maßnahmen, welche die klassischen Kommunikationsmittel wie Printanzeigen, Fernsehwerbung, Radiospots, Plakatwerbung oder Kinospots beschreiben, wurden um Below-the-line-Aktivitäten ergänzt. Letztere beschreibt die Kommunikation außerhalb der klassischen Medien. Sie umfasst Promotion-Teams, Events, Sponsoring, Aktionen am PoS, Product Placement, Direktmarketing, Verkaufsförderung (Sales Promotion), Public Relations, Messen, Online-Marketing, Viral-Marketing und Guerilla-Marketing.
