Zusammenfassung
Die elektronische Post oder E-Mail, also die Versendung von Textbotschaften von Computer zu Computer, ist eine der ersten und wesentlichsten aller digitalen Ideen. Elektronische Post gab es eigentlich schon vor der Existenz des Internets und des World Wide Web in jener Zeit, als man zum ersten Mal zwei Computer miteinander verband. Bereits da begannen ihre Benutzer das zu tun, was schon Jahrtausende lang die Zivilisation vorangetrieben hat: miteinander zu kommunizieren.
