Zusammenfassung
Zur Einschließung des Wertebereiches von reellen Funktionen kann bei numerischen Methoden die Intervallrechnung verwendet werden. So erhält man leicht berechenbare, monotone und einschließende Approximationen für den Wertebereich. In praktischen Fällen hängt die Güte der Approximation linear vom Durchmesser der auftretenden Intervalle ab. Die Arbeit bringt allgemeine Bedingungen dafür, wann diese Abhängigkeit quadratisch oder von höherer Ordnung ist.
