Zusammenfassung
Sowohl die noch offene Frage der Existenz linearer Bezugssysteme, die mit der Definition der gleichförmigen Bewegung verknüpft ist, als auch die Frage der Reduzierbarkeit der linearen Bezugssysteme auf Inertialsysteme wird durch die Newtonschen Axiome der Mechanik beantwortet. Deren spezielle Formulierung impliziert auch die spezielle Realisierung des Relativitätsprinzips. In der Newtonschen Mechanik entscheidet die Geschwindig-keitsunabhängigkeit der Masse die Form dieser Realisierung.
