Zusammenfassung
Daß Menschen sexuell handeln und erleben können, erscheint selbstverständlich. Unser Alltagsverständnis von Sexualität läßt uns annehmen, diese Fähigkeit sei ihnen — ebenso wie anderen Lebewesen — quasi,von Natur aus’ mitgegeben. Ohne die prinzipiell vorhandene Fähigkeit zur sexuellen Interaktion — zum heterosexuellen Koitus — könne der Fortbestand der menschlichen Gattung nicht gesichert werden. Daran knüpft sich die Vorstellung, Sexualität diene eigentlich der Fortpflanzung und sei ein zur natürlichen Ausstattung von Menschen gehörendes Grundbedürfnis.
