Abstract
The Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation describes the evolution of spin fields in continuum ferromagnets [84], and reads
where α > 0 is the Gilbert damping constant. The effective field H eff typically contains contributions from exchange interaction, crystalline anisotropy, magnetostatic selfenergy, and external magnetic fields.
