Zusammenfassung

Die meisten Auswahlentscheidungen fallen schon in der Vorauswahlphase.1 Erhält zum Beispiel eine Organisation auf ein Personalinserat hin 50 Bewerbungen und lädt sie fünf Bewerber zur Vorstellung ein, so wird über die Eignung von 45 Bewerbern schon bei der Vorauswahl endgültig entschieden. In einer Befragung von 47 deutschen Großunternehmen zur Rekrutierung von Hochschulabsolventen ergab sich eine durchschnittliche Relation von Eingeladenen zu Bewerbern von rund 1: 6.2 Bei attraktiven Unternehmen ist die Relation aus Bewerbersicht noch deutlich ungünstiger. So wird von der Deutschen Unilever GmbH berichtet, dass dort Anfang der 90er Jahre für jährlich 100 Nachwuchsvakanzen rund 6.000 Bewerbungen eingingen, wovon 400 zu Einladungen führten. Das entspricht einer Relation von Eingeladenen zu Bewerbern von 1: 15.3 Seibt und Kleinmann berichten von einem deutschen Großunternehmen der chemischen Industrie, dass dieses jährlich rund 4.000 Bewerbungen von Absolventen der Sozialwissenschaften erhält, von denen rund 800 eingeladen und schließlich 80 eingestellt werden. Dies entspricht einem Verhältnis von Eingeladenen zu Bewerbern von 1: 5 und einer Einstellquote I von 1: 20.4 Adelswärd berichtet, dass in Schweden von über 500 Bewerbern für ein Management-Traineeprogramm nur 24 Bewerber zu einem Auswahlgespräch geladen wurden (1: 20, 8).5
