Zusammenfassung
Je nach Patientenzustand kann eine assistierte, nichtinvasive oder kontrollierte invasive Beatmung notwendig werden. Für die assistierte Beatmung bedarf es einem gewissen Maß an eigener Atemarbeit des Patienten. Sie unterstützt die Atmung und kann die respiratorische Erschöpfung verhindern, um eine invasive Beatmung zu vermeiden. Nach einer Atemwegsicherung müssen die betroffenen Patienten i. d. R. kontrolliert beatmet werden. Mittels Beutelbeatmung erreicht der Anwender ein „gutes Gefühl“ über den Beatmungszustand des Patienten. Anhand von modernen Beatmungsgeräten ist jedoch eine differenzierte Beatmung möglich. Man unterscheidet druck- von volumenkontrollierten Beatmungsmodi, bei denen unterschiedliche Einstellmöglichkeiten möglich sind. Anhand patientenabhängiger Ziele sind die Beatmungsinvasivität und die O2-Applikation zu steuern. Bei Beatmungskomplikationen ist eine systematische Fehlersuche sinnvoll.
