Zusammenfassung
Die thermodynamische Behandlung chemischer Reaktionen ermöglicht die Berechnung von Reaktionsenergien und -enthalpien sowie von Gleichgewichtskonstanten und deren Druck- und Temperaturabhängigkeit. Zur Beschreibung der Geschwindigkeit chemischer Reaktionen formuliert man Zeitgesetze, die eine temperaturabhängige Geschwindigkeitskonstante und Potenzen der Konzentrationen der beteiligten Stoffe enthalten. Reale chemische Reaktionen verlaufen oft nach einem komplizierten Mechanismus über mehrere Zwischenstufen.
