Zusammenfassung

Der Umgang mit Pandemien wie SARS, Pandemischer Influenza und Covid-19 wirft vielfältige ethische Fragen auf, mit denen Politik, Entscheidungstragende und Gesellschaften insgesamt konfrontiert werden. Nationale Ethikräte spielen seit den 1990er-Jahren in vielen Ländern eine immer größere Rolle im öffentlichen Diskurs und bei der Politikberatung. Während der Covid-19-Pandemie haben diese Gremien einen neuen Grad an öffentlicher Aufmerksamkeit erlangt.
