Zusammenfassung

Das Kapitel stellt den Umgang mit Verletzungen bzw. Läsionen von peripheren Nerven an der oberen Extremität dar. Es werden jeweils Grundlagen zur Läsionsursache und -inzidenz und die spezielle Diagnostik vorgestellt. Der Schwerpunkt ist aber das chirurgische Management und dessen Timing. Behandlungsalgorithmen und Beispiele aus der Klinik veranschaulichen das Vorgehen. Schaubilder und der enge Bezug zur Leitlinie geben einen festen Leitfaden für die richtige Versorgung an die Hand. Das Kapitel stellt die Techniken der Primärversorgung, der sekundären Rekonstruktionen sowie standardisierte Nerventransfers vor. Motorische Ersatzplastiken werden gesondert im Kapitel 17 bearbeitet.
