Abstract
The development of openness has profound geoeconomic implications. It means that regions and populations are gradually integrated into the global divisions of the labor and trade system and the modern economic and social system, as well as the continuous improvement of the environment for economic upgrading and innovation. In the past 40 years since reform and opening up, from the establishment of special economic zones to the launching of “the belt and road initiative,” China has shaped the geoeconomic pattern that adapts to open development, showing a geoeconomic logic of “point-line-surface” integration, breaking through continuously at international and domestic prospects. It has made brilliant economic achievements and created deep-seated economic changes and broad prospects for international cooperation. Today, with the globalization of economic interests, China needs to continue to push forward the development of openness in breadth and depth and to strive to form a new geo-economic layout at a higher level to reach a new state of open development. That is, to actively create new geoeconomic opportunities in the march towards a “powerful socialist modernization country.” We will create a new pattern of opening up in the construction of “the belt and road initiative”. In building a modern economic system, we should create a new environment for opening up to the outside world. In participating in global economic governance, we should practice the new concept of “promoting the construction of a community of human destiny”.
