Zusammenfassung
Zahlreiche Theorien beziehen sich auf die Entwicklung im Kindes- und Jugendalter. In diesem Kapitel werden psychoanalytische, psychobiologische und lerntheoretische Konzeptionen, Entwicklungsaufgaben- und Anforderungs-Bewältigungs-Theorien, kognitive und informationsverarbeitungstheoretische Ansätze, Theorien domänenspezifischer Entwicklung sowie systemische Theorien vorgestellt. Es wird dabei deutlich, dass Entwicklung aus verschiedenen Perspektiven betrachtet werden kann und dass es daher nicht verwunderlich ist, dass es derzeit keine allumfassende Entwicklungstheorie gibt. Abschließend wird kurz auf Kriterien eingegangen, anhand derer sich die dargestellten Entwicklungstheorien unterscheiden lassen.
