Zusammenfassung
Während der ärztlichen Aufklärung sollte der Patient vor allem über die Behandlungsstrategie der Grunderkrankung aufgeklärt werden. Die Bedeutung einer Stomaanlage und vor allem die positiven Aspekte – bessere Lebensqualität, sichere Operation – sollten hervorgehoben werden. Es ist wichtig, dass im Gespräch mit dem Stomatherapeuten alle offenen Fragen besprochen werden können – Versorgung, Materialien, körperliche Aktivität, Selbsthilfegruppen u. v. a. – und die Stomaposition markiert wird. Die Angehörigen sollten aktiv eingebunden werden.
