Ein 23-jähriger Patient mit Typ-1-Diabetes seit der Kindheit war während der Pubertät schlecht eingestellt, seit Abitur und Studium aber mit einem HbA1c von 7 % stabil eingestellt und hat jetzt eine beginnende diabetische Retinopathie. Erklären die Diabetesdauer und der zeitweise schlecht eingestellte HbA1c seine Erkrankung?
