Zusammenfassung
Die Spina bifida ist Teil einer Erkrankung des Neuralrohres mit einem weiten klinischen Spektrum. Die operative Zielsetzung der Primärversorgung ist der liquordichte Verschluss, die Vermeidung einer aufsteigenden Infektion und die Versorgung der chronischen Liquorfistel mit kosmetischer Deckung der Haut. Das operative und anästhesiologische Vorgehen bei den meist sehr jungen Patienten wird in diesem Kapitel dargestellt.
