Zusammenfassung
Mittlerweile gibt es „kaltes Plasma“ nun bereits seit ein paar Jahren, und seit der Zulassung der ersten Geräte sind inzwischen viele Patienten behandelt worden, ganz abgesehen von jeder Menge In-vitro-Versuchen. Gegenwärtig am attraktivsten erscheinen die Tumor- sowie die antimikrobielle Behandlung von Haut und Wunden, weil hier dringend neue Methoden gebraucht werden. Für die Therapie „unheilbarer“ Wunden, v. a. bei chronisch Kranken gilt das zwar auch, hierzu liegen leider bisher aber noch keine überzeugenden Studiendaten, allenfalls günstige Beobachtungen vor, d. h., vor einer allgemeinen Empfehlung zur Wundbehandlung abgesehen von der Bakterienbekämpfung, der „Plasmaantiseptik“ müssen entsprechende qualitative Studien abgewartet werden. Unsere eigenen Erfahrungen zeigen vielversprechende Ergebnisse bei der Bekämpfung nosokomialer Erreger auf Haut und Wunden sowie zur effektiven Behandlung von Präkanzerosen.
