Zusammenfassung
Bei Atmosphärendruck betriebene Plasmaquellen eröffnen in der Anwendung viele Möglichkeiten mit einer Temperaturspanne von heißen bis hin zu kalten Plasmen. Neben einer Übersicht der Möglichkeiten dieser Quellen wird auf das spezielle Anwendungsfeld der Plasma Medizin eingegangen und die besondere Eignung von kaltem Plasma motiviert. Es gibt verschiedene Konzepte, Plasma mit hautverträglichen Temperaturen zu erzeugen. Zwei verbreitete Beispiele sind die dielektrisch behinderten Entladungen und die Plasmajets. Die derzeitig zugelassenen Plasmaquellen müssen dabei hohe Sicherheitsstandards erfüllen. Neben der Konformität mit der Richtlinie 93/42/EWG sind weitere Aspekte wie die Produktionslimits reaktiver Spezies zu erfüllen. Am Beispiel der Jet-Plasmaquelle kINPenMED wurden ausführliche Gefährdungsuntersuchungen durchgeführt und hier diskutiert. Weiterhin werden die Erkenntnisse aus verschiedenen klinischen Studien zusammengefasst. Abschließend wird im Ausblick auf die vielfältigen Möglichkeiten der Plasma-Erzeugung bei Atmosphärendruck hingewiesen.
