Zusammenfassung

„Modelle und Modellierung“ sind sicher eine der wichtigsten Kernkompetenzen des Fraunhofer ITWM. Wir wollen vor allem klären, was wir darunter verstehen, denn wenige Begriffe der angewandten Mathematik – vielleicht sogar der ganzen Naturwissenschaften – haben verschiedenere Deutungen und Spezialisierungen wie der der Modellierung. Und das, obwohl es auch ein zentraler Begriff der naturwissenschaftlichen Forschung ist, denn diese besteht aus dem Wechselspiel von Modellierung und Messung.
