Abstract
Dupuytren’s disease occurs too frequently and is too well-known for us to have to recall its features here (Fig. 852). Suffice it to emphasize that the nodules which enlarge the palmar aponeurosis initially have a histological structure which is nearly the same as that of a desmoid tumor or even a well-differentiated fibrosarcorma (grade 1), with numerous plump fibroblasts, and some mitotic figures (Fig. 853). Thereafter, the nodules «mature» in a dense, pseudotendinous, collagenous tissue, retracting and adhering to the derma.
