Zusammenfassung
Wesentliches Hilfsmittel der Verfahrenstechnik ist das Aufstellen von Bilanzen. Man unterscheidet :

a)
Massenbilanzen für Massen, welche aus einer oder mehreren Komponenten (Stoffen) bestehen können,
-
b)
Stoffbilanzen für einen chemisch einheitlichen Stoff,
-
c)
Energiebilanzen z. B. in der Form des I. Hauptsatzes der Thermodynamik (in isobaren Systemen bieten sich Enthalpiebilanzen an).
