Zusammenfassung
Photochemische Oxydation von Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel F3C—(CF2) n CFYX (X oder Y = H, F, Cl, Br oder J) ist überraschend einfach. In der Propanreihe tritt jedoch leicht C—C-Spaltung ein, so wird z. B. Carbonylfluorid (OCF2) aus C3HF7 gebildete2. Die C—C-Spaltung wird jedoch vermieden, wenn man die Oxydation bei Gegenwart von Wasser vornimmt. So gelang es R. N. Haszeldine 3, aus 1,2,4-Trichlor-1,1,2,3,3,4-hexafluor-4-jodpropan (I) durch photochemische Einwirkung in Gegenwart von Natronlauge β,γ-Dichlorpentafluorbuttersäure (II) zu erhalten.
