Abstract
Some basic differential methods for generating structured grids have been discussed in Chap. 6. However, a very important aspect of structured grid generation concerned with adaptation of grids to the numerical solution of partial differential equations has not been covered fully so far in the discussion. The goal of the current chapter is to partly eliminate this drawback by giving an elementary introduction to the subject of adaptive grid generation.
