Abstract

Recent research on adolescent development has increasingly stressed the importance of the adolescents’ acting in age-related change of experience and behavior. Adolescents often organize their own development by arranging personal determinants and outer contexts according to their own ideas.

This research was supported in part by a grant (“Akademiestipendium”) from the German Research Council (DFG: Si 296/2–1) to R. K. Silbereisen.
