Zusammenfassung
Unter den verschiedenen Arten der Anregung von Molekülen und Atomen spielt die thermische seit alters her eine besondere Rolle. Daher ist die thermisch angeregte Strahlung, die „Temperaturstrahlung“, sehr ausgiebig erforscht worden. Die Krönung dieser Arbeiten bildete 1900 die Auffindung des Planckschen Strahlungsgesetzes und mit ihr die Entdeckung der Naturkonstanten h.
