Zusammenfassung
Die Funktionen, die in diesem Kapitel auftreten, sollen in vielen Fällen den folgenden Bedingungen genügen:

Ist f (t) eine reelle Funktion der reellen Variablen t, so soll f(t) stückweise zweimal stetig differentiierbar sein; die Punkte, in denen dies nicht der Fall ist, sollen sich im Endlichen nirgends häufen, undes sollen die Grenzwerte von f′(t) oder \( \frac{1}{{f'(t)}} \) bei beiderseitiger Annäherung an dieselben existieren. An Sprungstellen t 0 soll gelten:

Wenn Gültigkeitsbedingungen für Formeln oder Sätze angemerkt sind, sind sie meist hinreichend aber nicht notwendig; in einigen Fällen von geringerer Wichtigkeit sind keine solchen Bedingungen angegeben.
