Konzeption und Erprobung eines Frameworks zur Digitalen Transformation auf Basis der Systemtheorie

Zusammenfassung

Dieses Kapitel untersucht den Beitrag der Systemtheorie zur Umsetzung von Vorhaben zur Digitalen Transformation (DT) von Unternehmen. Grundlegend hierfür ist ein Verständnis von Unternehmen als produktive soziale Systeme, welche mit der Umwelt agieren und aus Menschen, Technologien und Organisation bestehen. Untersuchungsgegenstand waren bestehende Ansätze und Modelle zur Digitalen Transformation, Beschreibungsmodelle (Templates) für Geschäftsmodelle und Geschäftsmodellinnovationen und Modelle zur Bewertung der digitalen Reife von Unternehmen. Im Rahmen der Analyse wurden die bestehenden Modelle aus Wissenschaft an der Terminologie der Systemtheorie gespiegelt und Lücken identifiziert. Ergebnis der Analyse war, dass viele Modelle zwar wichtige Handlungsfelder zur DT adressieren, jedoch die Einbettung und die Interaktion von Unternehmen mit der Umwelt, insbesondere mit Stakeholdern, nicht adäquat abdecken und damit eine systematische und ganzheitliche Betrachtung erschweren. In einem zweiten Schritt wurde auf Basis der Analyseergebnisse und der Systemtheorie als Analyseansatz ein Framework zur DT von Unternehmen entwickelt und anhand von drei Case Studies erprobt. Es zeigte sich, dass eine systemtheoretische Perspektive zu einer ganzheitlichen, stabilen, und stärker kundenzentrierten Sicht beitragen, und damit die Umsetzung und das Change-Management von DT effektiv unterstützen kann.
