Zusammenfassung
Digitale Plattformen, die aus den Bereichen Tourismus (zum Beispiel Airbnb) und Personenbeförderung (zum Beispiel Uber) bekannt sind, gewinnen zunehmend auch in anderen Branchen an Bedeutung. Ein Beispiel ist die Lademittel-Plattform swoplo, die über einen Online-Marktplatz den Kauf und Verkauf von Lademitteln ermöglicht. Bedingt durch die zwei Marktseiten solcher digitalen Plattformen wie swoplo, wird der Erfolg solcher Unternehmen von anderen Faktoren bestimmt als bei Unternehmen ohne plattformbasiertes Geschäftsmodell. Ziel dieses Beitrags ist es, die Managementherausforderungen und Erfolgsfaktoren digitaler Plattformen am Beispiel von swoplo exemplarisch darzulegen. Darüber hinaus wird dokumentiert, mit welchen plattformspezifischen, betriebswirtschaftlichen Problemstellungen swoplo konfrontiert ist bzw. war und welche Maßnahmen ergriffen wurden, um diese zu lösen.
