Zusammenfassung
Der Weg eine Region im Zeitalter der Digitalisierung in die Zukunft zu führen ist herausfordernd und komplex. Lohnenswert wird er, wenn digitaler Fortschritt eine andere Konnotation bekommt und sich an der eigenen Identität orientiert. Die Herausgeber sprachen mit Frank Matiaske, Landrat des Odenwaldkreises über ökonomische, ökologische und soziale Aspekte einer regionalen Transformation und wie man die wesensprägenden Merkmale einer Region als Leuchtturm für einen derartigen Veränderungsprozess nutzen kann.
