Zusammenfassung
Im folgenden Beitrag wird zunächst die Frage aufgeworfen, ob sich ein Ingenieur/eine Ingenieurin zu ethischen Fragestellungen äußern sollte. Darauf aufbauend wird erläutert, wie Ethik-Codices in den Ingenieurwissenschaften historisch entstanden sind und von welchen Leitsätzen sie zunächst inspiriert wurden. Anschließend wird der Ethik-Codex des Vereins Deutscher Ingenieure analysiert. Abschließend wird auf Ethikkommissionen und die Zukunft der Ethik-Codices eingegangen.
Abstract
In the following article, the question is raised whether an engineer should give his opinion on ethical issues at all. Based on this, it is explained how codes of ethics in engineering have historically developed and by which guiding principles they were initially inspired. Then, the code of ethics of the Association of German Engineers is analysed. Finally, ethics committees and the future codes of ethics will be discussed.
